The advent of social media promised new mechanisms to connect us with others and it may technically connect us, but these are performative interactions rather than meaningful conversations: “I like your post” vs. “I understand something about you and want you to understand me, too.”
Nowadays, social distancing is getting strong in the people's subconscious and this could trigger a new digital era, promoting telecommuting, delivery, isolation...
But we can’t forgive who we are. Human beings that need love and to be loved by each other and ourselves, real connections are essential to experience true happiness.
"Real connections" is Mooncat's new work through which he invites us to meditate about it, curating a single with a digital and modern sound, aggressive as well as calm, where the drums and bass beat us encouraging us to fight and overcome our fears while samples and vocal shots from Harny Roots lead us to a Reggae / Dub atmosphere that connects us with our essence.
